Jeoff Williams

Joeff Williams leads the Criminal Investigations Division for DPS in the North Texas area. With over 25 years of combined military and law-enforcement experience, Williams is responsible for 42 counties around the DFW MetroPlex and an area with a population of over 8 million people. Williams supervises and oversees the Gang program, Special Investigations program, Drug program, and Human Trafficking programs utilizing strategies and initiatives to reduce the impact of organized crime in the state. He has testified for the Texas legislature as an expert witness regarding the subject of human trafficking. He began his career at the Texas Department of Public Safety as a Highway Patrol Trooper and went on to hold several positions within the agency, including SWAT Team Member, Staff Sergeant on the Governor’s Protection Detail for George W. Bush, Narcotics Sergeant, Lieutenant, Captain, and now serves as Major overseeing the Criminal Investigations Division in Dallas. He is a graduate of the FBI National Academy and has extensive experience in leadership, tactical training, child exploitation investigations, and Human Trafficking.
